The ACCRALAW’s Cebu Branch held its annual legal forum last 15 July 2022 at the Cebu City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park. Despite the brief hiatus for the past years due to the pandemic, this year’s event was still well-attended by 150 participants from the largest and leading local and multinational companies.
The legal forum focused on labor and employment issues and it was entitled “Back in Business: Legal Updates on Labor and Compliance”.
The forum was kicked off by the Cebu Branch Head and Senior Partner, Ma. Iolanda B. Abella. Ms. Abella gave an inspiring talk on the Firm’s beginnings, particularly the establishment of the Cebu Branch. Senior Associates Felice Suzanne D. Soria-Prima and Shiela Vae A. Hoylar had an extensive discussion on the Current Issues on Business Permits, and Updates on Workplace Policies. That discussion was followed by the talk of Partners Louie John D. Lood and Aylward M. Consulta on Termination of Employment, and on How to Deal with Cybercrime Cases.
Partner Eduardo V. Soleng, Jr. closed the event and thanked clients who continue to trust and rely on the Firm as it celebrates its 50th year anniversary.
