Mr. Marquez specializes in the arbitration of unresolved workplace grievances, including labor disputes causing strikes in industries indispensable to national interest. He advises clients on administrative investigations, termination disputes, unfair labor practice cases, certification election, and money claims. He also represents clients in various quasi-judicial and administrative agencies.
Mr. Marquez is a professor in the University of San Carlos, where he teaches Labor Law Review, Labor Relations, Labor Standards, and formerly, Torts & Damages, Partnership, Social & Agrarian Legislation, and Conflict of Laws.
Mr. Marquez ranked tenth among the successful examinees of the 1989 Bar Examinations and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1990.
Mr. Marquez is a member of the Cebu City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the People’s Management Association of the Philippines, and the Management Association of the Philippines.
