Ms. Torres has over 8 years of combined experience in the field of taxation as a lawyer and accountant. Prior to joining the Firm, she was part of PriceWaterhouse Coopers’ tax team in the Philippines. Her practice covers mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, tax assessments, and tax planning.
She also taught courses on accounting and business law in De La Salle University and Australian International School.
She graduated 4th in her class in the University of the Philippines College of Law, with the distinction of cum laude.
She also received the award for Best Paper on Human Rights, which was published in the Philippine Law Journal in 2013. She has also published her articles on “Obstacles in Bringing the Maguindanao Massacre Case before the International Criminal Court” in the Asia-Pacific Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law in 2012 and co-authored the Philippine chapter on “Product Liability” for the Center of International Legal Studies in 2017.
Ms. Torres is one of the Firm’s representatives to the Meritas Asia Young Lawyers network.
She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2014 and is a member of the Quezon City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
