Eric R. Recalde and Teresita J. Herbosa during the ACCRALAW Business Forum 2019
Capping the ACCRALAW Business Law Forum held last 4 October 2019 was the launching of the book, “The Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines: Its Theories and Applications”. It was co-authored by Teresita J. Herbosa and Eric R. Recalde.
Ms. Herbosa is an Of Counsel of the Firm. She served as Chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from April 2011 to June 2018. She initiated amendments to significant laws, including the Corporation Code. She also proposed amendments to the Securities and Regulation Code and Anti-Money Laundering Act. She also issued the Corporate Governance Blueprint and the Code of Corporate Governance for Publicly Listed Companies.
Mr. Recalde is a Partner and is the Head of the Tax Department. He has written other books on taxation and competition laws. He authored the following: “A Treatise on Tax Principles and Remedies”, “The Philippine Local Tax and Tariff and Customs Laws”, “The Philippine Internal Revenue Taxes, All The Taxpayers Need to Know About the TRAIN Law” and co-authored “Philippine Competition Act: Salient Points and Emerging Issues”.
