ACCRALAW lawyers joined the Philippine delegation to the 41st ASEAN Law Association (ALA) Governing Council Meeting held in Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand last 21 November 2019. They were Avelino C. Cruz (former ALA Chairman), Regina P. Geraldez (retired Senior Partner of ACCRALAW and former ALA Secretary-General), Rowena L. Garcia-Flores, Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad, Martin R. Tensuan, Christianne Grace F. Salonga, Christopher Louie D. Ocampo, Antonio Bonifacio C. Reynes, Dianne Irish A. Cadorna, and Napoleon L. Gonzales III.
The annual meeting was attended by representatives from the respective national committees of the ASEAN member countries and was chaired by the Chief Justice of Singapore, Hon. Sundaresh Menon.
It was one of the Firm’s Founding Partner, the late Edgardo J. Angara, who proposed the creation of ALA in 1979. Since then, ALA has served as a platform for ASEAN lawyers to play a “pivotal role in promoting greater ASEAN cooperation”.
