ACCRALAW mourns the untimely demise of Jefferson M. Marquez, Senior Partner of ACCRALAW and Resident Partner of the Firm’s Cebu Branch.
Jeff was a leading labor and employment law practitioner and commended by the different business organizations in Cebu such as the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) – Cebu Chapter, Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors (PALSCON), Mactan Export Processing Zone Chamber of Exporters and Manufacturers, and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
He was also a dedicated law professor having devoted 25 years to teaching in the University of San Carlos.
Through the years, the client base of the Cebu Branch has grown because of the clients’ trust in the problem solving abilities of the Cebu Branch Partners led by Jeff. He was also responsible for recruiting the top graduates of University of San Carlos to join the Firm.
Jeff ranked tenth among the successful examinees of the 1989 Bar Examinations. He was an Executive Assistant to the late Supreme Court Justice Florenz D. Regalado.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from the University of Santo Tomas and his Bachelor of Laws Degree from San Beda College.
