ACCRALAW acted as counsel to the Joint Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and Standard Chartered Bank, in connection with the issuance by UnionBank of the Philippines (“Unionbank”) of Php11 Billion Peso-denominated fixed rate bonds out of its Php39 Billion Bonds Program. The Php11 Billion Peso Bond issued by Unionbank is the first digital bonds issued through the Proof of Concept Digital Registry and Digital Depository of the Philippine Depository & Trust Corp. The bonds were listed with the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp. on 2 June 2022.
