Members from ACCRALAW’s Tax Department joined the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) last 14 February 2023 in a meeting with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. During that meeting, to show its support to the BIR, FINEX suggested possible areas of collaboration to support the BIR in its objective to deliver excellent services to taxpayers.
Present during the meeting were the Firm’s Partners Eric R. Recalde and Jacqueline Ann A. Tan, and Senior Associate Fatima Faye E. Cordova. They shared some the experiences of their clients in complying with different tax regulations and dealing with the BIR. Their suggestions revolved around promoting the ease of doing business in the Philippines.
Mr. Recalde is the Head of ACCRALAW’s Tax Department. He is also currently the Committee Vice Chairman of the FINEX Tax and Legal Committee.
Ms. Tan is the Monitor of ACCRALAW’s Tax Department.
