ACCRALAW Partner Louie John D. Lood delivered a lecture on the topic: Management Prerogative and Worker Safety during the People Management Association of the Philippines, Cebu Chapter’s General Membership Meeting on 28 November 2025. The event was held at Citi Park Hotel, Cebu City.
Mr. Lood’s presentation provided a detailed exploration of the legal framework governing work by employees during natural or man-made calamities and weather disturbances. He highlighted the important provisions of DOLE Labor Advisory No. 1, Series of 2020 as well as DOLE Labor Advisory No. 17, Series of 2022. The lecture was timely considering the earthquake and typhoons that hit Cebu in recent months.
