Andre B. Navato, Jr.

Andre “Andy” B. Navato, Jr. is a Senior Partner of ACCRALAW and the Head of the Firm’s Retainer Department.

He has over twenty-seven (27) years of experience in the practice of law, specializing in various areas, including mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, investments, and energy law. He has also advised clients in establishing branch offices, representative offices, and subsidiaries in the Philippines, and registration with various government agencies including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and various investment promotion agencies such as the Philippine Economic Zone Authority and Board of Investments.

His significant projects include the acquisition by a Philippine universal bank of two additional local banks and assisting Philippine banks with their (i) capital raising efforts resulting in multi-million-dollar investments; (ii) stock rights offerings; and (iii) establishment of a medium term note programme and drawdowns thereon. Andy has advised on various merger transactions, including, among others, (i) a Philippine universal bank and a Philippine commercial bank and (ii) two multinational insurance brokers. He regularly advises the leading private equity firms in the world resulting in successful investments in various sectors such as banking, business process outsourcing, logistics, and retail.

Andy was recognized as a Leading Partner for Banking and Finance by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific for 2023, 2024, and 2025. He was Highly Regarded in the practice areas of Banking, M&A, Energy, and Oil and Gas by IFLR1000 for 2024, and was recognized as a Band 4, Corporate/M&A lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific for 2023.

Andy has also served the Firm in various other capacities such as being a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, Partnership Secretary, the Head of the Firm’s Practice Development Committee, and as Monitor of the Firm’s Corporate and Special Projects Department.
