Mr. Cruz specializes in litigation and dispute resolution and has represented a diverse range of clients in complex commercial, civil, and regulatory matters. His practice includes handling high-stakes disputes involving major corporations, financial institutions, and government officials.
He has represented the country’s major power utility, as well as several corporations engaged in property management and development, agricultural and food production, construction and commercial arbitration cases. He has also acted as counsel for one of the largest conglomerates in the Philippines and a major universal bank as creditors in corporate rehabilitation and liquidation proceedings.
Mr. Cruz has extensive experience in criminal litigation, including prosecuting white-collar crimes and defending high-ranking corporate officers. His practice likewise includes land and property disputes, such as cases involving fraudulent land registrations, enforcement of subdivision land-use restrictions, and correction of land titles.
In addition, he has assisted a local water supplier in protecting its rights over water permits to ensure the continued delivery of services to the community. He has also represented government officials in cases involving notices of disallowance issued by the Commission on Audit, as well as corporations, including those in the entertainment and petroleum sectors, in defending against and pursuing claims for damages arising from contractual violations.
He has likewise been involved in the resolution and settlement of highly technical disputes involving corporations in the entertainment and hospitality, consumer retail and distribution, and data services industries.
Mr. Cruz was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022 and is a member of the Makati City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
