Mr. Alojado specializes in antitrust & trade regulation, banking and finance, investments, M&A, real estate, and telecommunications.
He has handled significant transactions where he:
- assisted various clients on the sale and acquisition of equity and/or assets or joint ventures of companies involved in the banking, data center, landholding, armored vehicle transportation, and media production businesses;
- assisted on anti-trust / merger notification filings and obtaining clearance from the Philippine Competition Commission involving acquisitions and joint ventures in agribusiness, business process outsourcing, logistics, semiconductor devices, aircraft leasing, truck & bus businesses, and by investment funds;
- assisted a listed company in its joint venture with a local government unit for a public-private partnership project;
- assisted issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings and various listing applications for companies engaged in the manufacturing, telecommunications and real estate investment trusts (REITs);
- acted as underwriter’s counsel for the public offer of warrants by a publicly-listed company; and
- assisted on the merger of a listed entity and 29 of its subsidiaries.
He also advises on:
- the establishment of corporate vehicles and registration of branch offices, including amendment of registration with various government agencies;
- the conduct of legal due diligence examinations on various target companies prior to acquisition, including companies engaged in renewable energy, semiconductor devices, bioethanol production, cold storage, information technology-related products, airlines, banking, and real estate development;
- the implementation of property-for-share and share-for-share swaps involving real estate companies and REIT companies;
- value added service provider registration with the National Telecommunications Commission;
- registration of new projects, amendments of registered activities, applications for letters of authority, and cancellation of registration with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority; and
- dissolution, withdrawal of Securities and Exchange Commission license, and liquidation of companies.
In 2025 and 2026, Mr. Alojado was recognized as a Leading Associate for Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 for Asia Pacific.
Mr. Alojado ranked tenth among the students of his graduating class. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2016 and is a member of the Pasay-Parañaque-Las Piñas-Muntinlupa Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
