Mr. Orencia advises and assists corporations and individuals in complex civil, criminal, and administrative disputes. He has represented clients before Philippine courts, legislative bodies, and regulatory and investigative agencies.
Some of the notable matters he has handled include:
- acting as lead counsel in successfully defending a leading broadcasting network in the Philippines against a defective final and executory judgment concerning a multi-hectare real estate;
- successfully defending the operator of one of the country’s largest international airports in an injunction suit;
- representing clients in civil and criminal cases related to a mass vaccination program, resulting in acquittals in the criminal proceedings;
- assisting resource persons in legislative inquiries before the Senate Committee on Accountability of Public Officers & Investigations (Blue Ribbon) and the Committees on Public Accounts, Public Works and Highways, and Good Government of the House of Representatives;
- overturning the implementation of a defective final and executory judgment involving a multi-hectare real estate in Metro Manila;
- advising a prominent renewable energy company and other renewable energy developers in proceedings before administrative bodies; and
- advising a construction company on matters involving a major railway infrastructure project.
He has also assisted in and delivered lectures on Philippine competition law.
Mr. Orencia ranked 7th among his graduating class and placed 10th among the successful examinees of the 2022 Bar Examinations. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023 and is a member of the La Union Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
