ACCRALAW Partner George S.D. Aquino was recognized as one of the awardees of the 2024 Ateneo Law Distinguished Alumnus Award during the Ateneo Law Homecoming on 18 October 2024. The Ateneo Law Alumni Association, Inc. conferred this award on Mr. Aquino in recognition of “his dedication to dispute resolution and passion for teaching the law.”
Mr. Aquino is a Partner of the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. He has over 25 years of experience in handling disputes from civil, commercial to special civil cases.
He has been a Professor at Ateneo de Manila Law School for more than a decade, focusing on Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, and Appellate Practice. He is always invited to conduct Pre-Bar lectures on the same subjects.
In addition to active law practice and teaching, he also contributes his knowledge and expertise to different technical working groups created by the Supreme Court. He is involved in introducing legal reforms as part of various Supreme Court committees, helping revise procedural rules to ensure fairness and modernization in the Philippine legal system.
