On 20 November 2024, ACCRALAW Lawyers participated in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Makati City Chapter’s (“IBP Makati”) Legal Aid Clinic.
In line with National Correctional Consciousness Week, Associates Christine Joy S. Escalante, Ma. Veronica S. Pine, Gabriel P. Leda, and Ralph Vincent S. Samaniego delivered a lecture on Modes of Release to Persons Deprived of Liberty (“PDL”) at the Makati City Jail. They also rendered pro bono legal work by giving legal advice to PDLs on various issues of criminal and procedural law.
National Correctional Consciousness Week calls on the public and private sectors to rally behind efforts to reintegrate our Filipino brethren into the mainstream of our national community. Participation in National Correctional Consciousness Week through IBP Makati’s Legal Aid Clinic is consistent with ACCRALAW’s vision of being a responsible corporate citizen through pro bono endeavors.
