Mr. Mariano was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather and served as an Editor of the Philippine Law Journal from 2021 to 2022. His paper entitled, Disgorgement in Investment Scams: An Unjust Enrichment for Whoever Prevails? won the Gonzalo T. Santos Jr. Prize for Best Paper in Securities Law.

Mr. Mariano was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2026 and is a member of the Ilocos Sur Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
