ACCRALAW Authors Philippine Chapter of the ITechLaw Startup Legal Playbook (4th Edition, 2026)

ACCRALAW contributed to the newly released Fourth Edition of the Startup Legal Playbook, published by the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw). The playbook aims to serve as “A Quick Reference Guide to International Market Entry for Startups (and Their Lawyers)”.

Several of the Firm’s lawyers, namely Partner Christopher Louie D. Ocampo, Senior Associate Enrique F. Nitura, and Senior Associate Aloysius Francis M. Bresnan, co-authored the Philippine Chapter, which offers a practical breakdown of the local startup ecosystem. The chapter addresses critical frameworks for market entry, including corporate structuring, foreign investment rules, data privacy, intellectual property, and other emerging technology regulations.

As startups consider upscaling globally, navigating cross-border regulatory frameworks can be daunting. The ITechLaw Playbook serves as an essential guide spanning 72 jurisdictions to help founders, investors, and legal teams triage local regulations, assess risks, and ask the right questions before entering new markets.

This recent work reinforces ACCRALAW’s commitment to supporting innovation, technology compliance, and cross-border growth in the Philippine startup space.
