ACCRALAW’s senior partners served as moderator and panelists at the 5th Philippine Construction Arbitration Conference, further solidifying the Firm’s seasoned expertise in alternative dispute resolution and its intersection with construction law.
ACCRALAW Managing and Senior Partner Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad served as the moderator of the panel entitled “Expert Evidence in the Spotlight: Practical Strategies on Utilizing Expert Witnesses Effectively.” Senior Partner Martin R. Tensuan contributed his expertise and experience as the only lawyer on the panel on “Mastering Technical Evidence and Delay Analysis: Engineering Perspectives for Effective Arbitration.” Senior Legal Counsel Victor P. Lazatin gave his valuable insights as one of the panelists for the session on “Ethics and Gatekeeping: The New Frontier in CIAC Arbitration.”
Organized by the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators (PICAM), the event was held on 11 August 2026 at the Fairmont Hotel Ballroom in Makati City. Centered on the theme “At the Crossroads of Construction Arbitration: Evidence, Ethics, and the Rise of AI,” the conference gathered arbitrators and prominent ADR practitioners, experts, and stakeholders in the construction industry to evaluate the evolving landscape of construction dispute resolution. The panel discussions delved into the integration of artificial intelligence in arbitration, techniques in the efficient and optimized use of expert witnesses, the evaluation of technical evidence, and the fundamentals of preparing for, making, and proving claims, as well as the essential ethical safeguards required to maintain procedural integrity.
