ACCRALAW, in cooperation with the ACCRALAW Scholarship Foundation, Inc. and the family of the late Violeta Calvo-Drilon, awarded scholarship grants to students of the University of the Philippines College of Law in view of their outstanding performance. The recipients of these scholarships are John Malcolm S. Aniag, Mohammad Muariff S. Balang, Angeline Kaye E. de Vera, Jamilah Paola D. Laguardia, Patricia Minela L. Montoya, and Tanya Beatriz Y. Tan. The awarding ceremony was held at the University of the Philippines College of Law last 22 November 2019.
Senator Franklin M. Drilon, the Firm’s Senior Counsel, attended. Also present were Emerico O. De Guzman, Managing Partner, and Ana Teresa A. Oracion, Co-Managing Partner, represented the Firm.
Dean Fides Cordero Tan and Retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Francis H. Jardeleza also attended the awarding rites.
The ACCRALAW-Violeta Calvo-Drilon Scholarship Program was established to recognize meritorious and deserving students of the University of the Philippines College of Law, in honor of the late Violeta Calvo-Drilon, who was a Senior Partner of the Firm. It has been an ongoing initiative for the past 15 years.
