ACCRALAW’s Eusebio V. Tan, Of Counsel, represented the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (CANCHAM), at the meeting held on 3 March 2022 between the representatives of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Alexander G. Gesmundo.
The meeting was also attended by Supreme Court Associate Justices Rodil V. Zalameda, Jhosep Y. Lopez, Japar B. Dimaampao, Jose Midas P. Marquez, and Antonio T. Kho, Jr.
The discussion focused on the Supreme Court’s actions on improving the judiciary. Chief Justice Gesmundo shared how the different courts successfully adopted to a new modality of conducting hearings through videoconferencing. He also discussed the adoption of an e-payment solution.
Mr. Tan is with the Firm’s Corporate and Special Projects Department, which he also headed. He was the Firm’s Managing Partner from 2003 to 2014. Even after his retirement, Mr. Tan continued to actively participate in different business organizations such as Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) and Financial Executive Institute of the Philippines (FINEX).
