Mr. Bresnan has extensive experience in civil, criminal, and administrative litigation, as well as regulatory and advisory matters involving data privacy, banking, product liability, intra-corporate disputes, professional liability, construction disputes, and white-collar offenses. He has represented and advised domestic and multinational clients in court proceedings, regulatory investigations, and high-stakes commercial disputes.
Some of the significant matters handled by Mr. Bresnan include:
- acted as counsel for a leading property developer in a construction dispute involving a multi-billion-peso claim arising from a landmark commercial building project;
- assisting and advising multinational and consumer-facing companies in connection with product recalls and other regulatory issues;
- appearing as counsel for one of the country’s largest banks in a class action and in a novel civil action for damages arising from quasi-delict involving the potential liability of banking institutions for phishing and other social engineering schemes;
- successfully defending directors and corporate officers, and prosecuting white-collar crimes committed by errant employees, for various banks, hotel and resort operators, and multinational companies;
- assisting the local operator of a prominent global technology company on sensitive data privacy issues in proceedings before the National Privacy Commission;
He is a lecturer at the Ateneo De Naga University College of Law, where he teaches international law.
He co-authored the Philippine Chapter of the Startup Legal Playbook (2025) published by the International Technology Law Association.
Mr. Bresnan was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023 and is a member of the Makati City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
