Mr. Regala was one of the Firm’s Founding Partners.

He specialized in corporate law and advised clients on investments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate rehabilitation.

He was consistently recognized for his valuable contribution in corporate practice in the Philippines. In fact, Chambers Asia-Pacific and Chambers & Partners identified Mr. Regala as one of the Senior Statesmen for Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions for 2018.

He co-authored the Philippine chapters of:

  • “Getting the Deal Through: Insolvency & Restructuring 2001”, a Law Business Research publication;
  • “Guide to Restructuring in Asia 2001”, an Asian Development Bank publication;
  • “Collier International Business Insolvency”, a Mathew Bender publication; and,
  • “Corporate Restructuring and Recovery in the Philippines”, in The Asia Patient.

Mr. Regala was actively involved in several organizations such as the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, the UP Law Alumni Association, the Harvard Club of the Philippines, and the Union Church of Manila Philippines Foundation, Inc. He also served as President of some of these organizations. Mr. Regala also serves as a director and officer of several Philippine corporations.

Mr. Regala was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1962 and was a member of the Makati Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

He passed away last 1 June 2019.
