ACCRALAW Davao Branch held its Legal Forum for clients last 21 June 2018 at the SEDA Hotel. The Forum was attended by clients representing a wide range of industries from banking, business process outsourcing, construction, hospitals, real estate, to agri-business.
Myra S. Montecalvo-Quilatan, Resident Partner, opened the Forum with a presentation of ACCRALAW’s history, services, and practice areas.
Various relevant issues were discussed. Genie Celini D. Nuevo spoke on the “Updates on Data Privacy Compliance” and provided lients with practical situations which demonstrated application of the rules on data privacy. Martin Luigi G. Samson lectured on “Endo: What You Should Know” and discussed key updates on contractualization in light of Executive Order No. 51 and Department Order No. 183.
John Frederick E. Derije led the discussion on “Occupational Safety and Health Standards Compliance” andtalked about the requirements to be maintained by their offices. Emiko Antonette T. Escovilla then lectured on the “Fundamentals of TRAIN Law”, share her insights on how the law could impact their income.
Ma. Iolanda B. Abella concluded the event with her closing remarks.
