ACCRALAW contributed the Philippine chapter of Chambers Global Practice Guide on Employment Law. Emerico O. De Guzman, Clarence Darrow C. Valdecantos, Joy Anne C. Leong-Pambid, and Gilyen Ezra Marie L. Li wrote the chapter.
They discussed the important changes in Philippine labor laws in the past year. They also discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the salient points covered are the rules on employer liability for COVID-19 testing, medical expenses, and cost of COVID-19 prevention and control measures and the adoption of flexible work arrangements.
Mr. De Guzman is the Firm’s Managing Partner who previously led the Labor and Employment Department. Mr. Valdecantos, a Partner, currently heads the Department. Ms. Leong-Pambid is also a Partner and Ms. Li is a Senior Associate.
ACCRALAW’s Labor and Employment Department has been consistently ranked among the top law firms in the Philippines and in the region.
