Jose Eduardo T. Genilo, a Partner of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department, was invited to talk about patent application drafting at IP Masterclass, a program of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research Development – Department of Science and Technology (PCAARD – DOST) and the Association of Patent Agent Professionals.
IP Masterclass is a program that is intended to equip its participants with sufficient knowledge on crafting patent applications to protect inventions made through state universities and government funding. It was held last 20 to 22 April 2022 and was attended by around 100 participants composed of chemical and non-chemical patent groups, as well as scientists, physicists, engineers, and professors from various state universities.
Mr. Genilo specializes in intellectual property law, and has assisted clients in the prosecution, enforcement, and litigation of patents. He is consistently cited by various legal publications as a leading lawyer for intellectual property, cybercrime, data privacy, and information technology.
