On 12 May 2023, a forum entitled, “Financial Inclusion for Women, Water and Climate Resilience” was held at Fairmont Hotel, Makati City. The forum was led by Water.org and co-sponsored by ACCRALAW, Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), and Forest Foundation.
ACCRALAW Senior Partner and Head of its Corporate and Social Responsibility Department, Alex Ferdinand S. Fider, delivered one of the Welcome Remarks, while Senior Legal Counsel Francisco Ed. Lim served as one of the forum’s panelists. Of Counsels Eusebio V. Tan and Teresita J. Herbosa also participated as moderators during the panel discussions.
The forum sought to increase awareness on the need to take immediate action on a very basic and universal issue – water security, as it relates to inclusion, women, forest preservation and climate change. The forum focused on magnifying the importance of solving a number of the sustainable development goals – water and sanitation, women and financial inclusion, climate change.
