ACCRALAW Partner Joseph Anthony I. Malaya participated as a panelist at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) Roadshow: “HKIAC in the Philippines” held on 8 October 2024 at Shangri-La at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
Mr. Malaya discussed the rules on the enforcement of domestic and foreign arbitral awards in the Philippines. He also talked about recent Supreme Court decisions on this particular field. He also shared his experience and other practical considerations in handling this kind of enforcement cases.
Mr. Malaya is from the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. He specializes in construction arbitration and disputes involving environmental laws and mining issues.
