The Firm’s Partners had their traditional testimonial dinner last May 6, 2019 at the Grand Salon, Grand Hyatt Manila, in Bonifacio Global City. They celebrated the admission to the Partnership of Everlene O. Lee (“Ever”) and Louie John D. Lood (“John”). They also honored Regina P. Geraldez (“Gina”) and Ramon G. Samson (“Mon”) who retired from the Partnership last year.
Ever joined the Firm in 2009 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2013. She works on diverse corporate matters and transactions. Among her fields of expertise is securities and capital markets.
John joined the Firm in 2008 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2012. He trained in the Head Office for one year and is based in the Cebu Branch. He is known for his litigation work on civil and criminal matters. He also advises clients on labor and environmental law issues.
For several years until her retirement, Gina fulfilled several roles. She was the Co-Managing Partner, Head of the Immigration Department and the Hiring Partner. Instead of taking a hiatus from the legal profession, Gina surprised the Partners by the recent announcement that she was the Examiner in Legal Ethics for the 2018 Bar Examinations.
Mon is one of the Firm’s Of Counsels. His experience in litigation, particularly, intellectual property matters, will continue to benefit the Firm’s clients. From 2010 to 2018, Mon steered the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department as its Head and under his leadership, said practice department kept its notable status. Last year, he fulfilled the challenging role of Partner-In-Charge of Finance.
Both Gina and Mon are among the recommended lawyers by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019 in the fields of Immigration and Dispute Resolution, respectively.
