Eusebio V. Tan has been conferred with “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon” by the Government of Japan. According to a statement from the Embassy of Japan, this recognition is awarded to “those who have made distinguished achievement in international relations, promotion of Japanese culture, advancements in their field, development in welfare or preservation of the environment.” Mr. Tan’s “valuable contribution to strengthening the economic relations between Japan and the Philippines” was recognized.
Mr. Tan served as Co-Chairman of the Philippines-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee (PHILJEC) and he led strong efforts in promoting the Philippines as a viable investment location for Japanese investors. Mr. Tan also served as the Japanese Embassy’s legal counsel and has provided the necessary legal advice to promote the relations between the Philippines and Japan.
Mr. Tan is among the Philippines’ leading lawyers in the fields of Investment, Mergers and Acquisition and Banking and Finance. He was the Head of the Firm’s Retainer and Corporate and Special Projects Department and also was the Managing Partner. Currently, he is an Of Counsel and continues to advise clients.
