Ms. Valdecantos-Javelosa specializes in intellectual property and data privacy law.
She advises local and international clients on the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights in the Philippines, assists them in the maintenance of their trademark and patent portfolios, and represents them before various courts and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines. She also has experience conducting intellectual property due diligence, including the review of licensing agreements and technology transfer arrangements.
As part of the Firm’s Data Privacy and Security Group, she assists clients in ensuring their compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, especially those pertaining to data breach reporting requirements and registration with the National Privacy Commission.
Ms. Valdecantos-Javelosa was recognized for her Exemplary Performance in the 2020/2021 Bar Examinations and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022. She is a member of the Pasay-Parañaque-Las Piñas-Muntinlupa City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the University of the Philippines Women Lawyers’ Circle, and the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society.
