Ms. Estremadura represents multinational clients on matters involving infringement and unfair competition. She specializes in trademark, patent, and copyright prosecution and enforcement.

She previously served as a lawyer at the Bureau of Trademarks of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). During her term, she represented the Philippines in various working groups and committees of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, including:

  • The Committee on Development and Intellectual Property, where she prepared the initial draft of the Project Proposal for the Philippines entitled “Sustaining and Strengthening the Role of Collective Marks as a Tool for Economic, Cultural, and Social Development through a Holistic Developmental Approach”, which was unanimously approved by WIPO Member States;
  • The Standing Committee on Trademarks, Industrial Designs, and Geographical Indications; and
  • The Working Group of the Lisbon Agreement, with the Philippines participating as an observer.

She also served as one of the Philippine representatives to the ASEAN Trademarks Convergence Network and the ASEAN Trademark Taskforce. She also acted as a WIPO consultant on a project focused on developing an ASEAN Trademark and Industrial Design Data Quality Manual, in relation to the ASEAN IP Register.

Ms. Estremadura played a key role in the revision and implementation of significant IPOPHL regulations, including the Trademark Regulations of 2023 and the Philippine Madrid Regulations of 2024. She was also part of the technical team which drafted and implemented the Rules and Regulations for the Declaration and Creation of the Register of Well-Known Marks, which took effect in April 2025.

She also contributed to legislative initiatives such as the proposed amendments to Republic Act No. 8293, (the Intellectual Property Code) and the Geographical Indications Bill, and served as a technical consultant on trademark and geographical indications during the PH-EU Free Trade Agreement negotiations.

Ms. Estremadura has authored numerous opinions in local publications, including a co-authored article for the Ateneo Law Journal entitled “Data Protection of Biometric Data and Genetic Data” [64 Ateneo L.J. 949 (2020)].

Ms. Estremadura was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2016 and is a member of the Batangas Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
