Our Firm’s Leland R. Villadolid Jr., Senior Partner of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, participated as Speaker at the Industry Breakout Sessions sponsored by the National Privacy Commission during the National Data Privacy Conference – Privacy Awareness Week 2019. He shared his insights on the general theme “Protecting the Digital Filipino: Accountability, Compliance, and Ethics in a Data Driven Philippines”. The said data privacy conference was held last 23 to 24 May 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City and it was attended by data protection officers and in-house counsels of HMO’s Life & Non-Life Insurance and Real Estate Sectors.
Mr. Villadolid talked about handling complaints from the point of view of data subjects. Mr. Villadolid also gave his views on best practices for data protection officers with the end view of anticipating and/or managing risks in their respective companies.
