Mr. Manibog's fields of practice includes labor litigation, dispute settlement, labor relations which involves collective bargaining negotiations, union formation and representation and work stoppages. He is continuously advising and assisting several multinational and domestic companies on various issues such as those pertaining to employment, employee discipline, labor standard benefits, labor implication of mergers and acquisitions and other undertakings, overseas employment outsourcing arrangements and rightsizing programs. He handles labor-related civil and criminal litigations. He also conducts legal audits and gives lectures on various labor issues for the clients. He handled a number of significant labor cases before the Supreme Court involving issues pertaining to management prerogatives, employee discipline, unfair labor practices and termination disputes arising from corporate restructuring. He has handled and continue to represent various multi-national and local companies like Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils., Inc., Citibank N.A., Standard Chartered Bank, Bechtel International, Inc., Philip Morris Phil. Mfg., Inc., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Chevron Philippines, Inc. Glaxo SmithKline, Mead Johnson Nutrition (Phils.), Inc., Eli Lilly, San Miguel Corporation and Honda Phils., Inc.
Education/Academic Attainments: 
Mr. Manibog obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1976. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Far Eastern University where he was a consistent scholar.
Law Professorial Positions & Legal Publications: 
Mr. Manibog wrote the Handbook on Special Laws Affecting Labor and Employment Relations for the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) to serve as guide to employers in the Philippines. He also wrote some articles on various labor issues that were published in Philippine newspapers.
Professional Membership & Affiliations: 
Mr. Manibog is an active member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and the Philippine Bar Association. He is the Firm's representative in ECOP as well as in the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). For 2012, he is the PMAP’s Chairperson of the Labor Policy Reforms and Industrial Relations Committee.


Prior to joining the Firm in 1982, Mr. Manibog was a Senior Mediation Arbiter at the Bureau of Labor Relations where he handled inter-union and intra-union disputes and was active in conciliation and mediation of labor disputes.  In 1980, he underwent training in labor relations as a government scholar at the International Training Institute in Australia.  He joined ACCRALAW in 1982.  He formerly headed the Firm’s Labor and Employment Department and was the Partner-in-charge of Finance in ACCRALAW.


Mr. Manibog has been cited by various legal publications as among the leading lawyers in the field of labor and employment.  In the 2012 publication of Chambers Asia Pacific, he was acknowledged as a seasoned labor expert whose expertise covers all aspects of employment litigation, collective bargaining negotiations and union disputes.  He was also noted by Chamber Asia Pacific 2011 as "a skilled practitioner" with "extensive experience in the field" and that his highly esteemed expertise includes collective bargaining negotiations, union related disputes and litigation. Chambers Asia 2010 on the other hand, said that sources admire the "superb judgment" that informs Mr. Manibog's practice.  Chamber Asia 2008 complemented him as a "hands-on" and "intelligent labor lawyer" consistently seen acting on the major cases.  It was the same observation made by Chambers Global 2007.  Mr. Manibog was also cited consistently by Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a highly regarded legal practitioner in the field of labor.
