ACCRALAW Senior Associate Christopher Louie D. Ocampo was awarded as the Young Lawyer of the Year at the recently concluded 5th Annual Philippine Law Awards of the Asian Legal Business (ALB). He was chosen among fourteen (14) finalists who were shortlisted after a nomination and selection process.
Mr. Ocampo is one of the Firm’s homegrown talents. He joined the Firm in 2012 and since then, has immersed himself in complex trial and appellate work. He has successfully handled high-stakes commercial, civil, and criminal cases, especially in the areas of banking and finance, antitrust, energy, white-collar crimes, and construction litigation and arbitration.
He is hardworking and reliable. Through the years, he has gained the trust not only of his peers, but also of the Firm’s clients.
He obtained his Master of Law and Finance degree from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines, where he was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence.
Mr. Ocampo also teaches core courses in the University of the Philippines and the De La Salle University, where he teaches Agency and Partnership and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Mr. Ocampo is also a trained arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. and is a member of the Young Professionals Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
