ACCRALAW lawyers contributed the Philippine chapter of Chambers and Partners Technology and Outsourcing Practice Guide for 2022. The chapter was authored by Of Counsel Emerico O. de Guzman, Partners Neptali B. Salvanera and Erwin Jay V. Filio, and Senior Associate Gilyen Marie L. Li-Nulud.
The chapter discussed, among others, IT and business process outsourcing (BPO), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) systems, cloud computing services, and other technological advancements in the Philippines. The authors reviewed legal and regulatory restrictions on technology transactions and outsourcing, including Department of the Labor and Employment Department Order No. 174, series of 2017.
