ACCRALAW, in cooperation with the ACCRALAW Scholarship Foundation, Inc., ACCRALAW Senior Counsel and Senator Franklin M. Drilon, and the family of the late Violeta Calvo-Drilon, grants scholarships to meritorious and deserving students of the University of the Philippines College of Law. The annual scholarship awarding ceremony was held last 1 October 2024 at the Malcolm Hall Theater, U.P. College of Law.
The ACCRALAW – Violeta Calvo-Drilon merit awardees are Steffi Eunice S. Ramos, Class of 2024 Valedictorian, and Mika Andrea O. Ramirez, Philippine Law Journal Chairperson for Academic Year 2023-2024.
The selected ACCRALAW Iskolar scholars for Academic Year 2024-2025 are Ma. Antonetta Pilar T. Setias, Jan Cherome M. Sison, Raina Rheta S. Galut, and Kristine T. Aguilar, and the ACCRALAW – Violeta Calvo-Drilon scholar is Rubbee B. Panganiban.
In addition to Mr. Drilon, representing ACCRALAW were Co-Managing Partner Leland R. Villadolid, Jr., Senior Partner Alex Ferdinand S. Fider, Partner Chrysilla Carissa P. Bautista, Of Counsel Teresita J. Herbosa, and Associate Nicole Sean Y. Chang.
Inspirational messages were shared by U.P. College of Law Dean Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, Mr. Villadolid, and Mr. Fider. Judge May A. Caniba-Llona, a former ACCRALAW scholar and former ACCRALAW lawyer, also shared her journey from scholar to public servant.
Since 2004, more than 170 U.P. College of Law students have been granted ACCRALAW scholarships.
