Ms. Gesmundo regularly assists clients on various aspects of labor litigation and advisory work, including employee investigations, termination and suspension of employment, preparation and review of employment-related documents and policies, compensation and benefits, collective bargaining negotiations and union disputes, labor standards compliance and audits, outsourcing, anti-discrimination and harassment, diversity and equality initiatives, and corporate and workforce restructuring.
Ms. Gesmundo co-authored the Philippine chapter of the “International Comparative Legal Guide on Outsourcing” (2016; 2017) and the Philippine chapter of “Employment, Technology, and Outsourcing, Trends and Developments” for the Chambers Global Practice Guides (2020; 2021). She has also contributed to various publications such as The Legal 500 In-house Lawyer (Summer Edition) and the Meritas Personal Data Protection Guide, and has given several lectures on varied subjects regarding labor and employment.
She also co-authored the following:
- “Jurisdiction over Damages Arising from Employer-Employee Relations” [8 J. Phil. Ass’n on Voluntary Arb. 1 (2014)];
- “Testing Constitutional Waters III: Areas for Constitutional Reform in the System of Checks and Balances in the Philippine Government” [57 Ateneo L.J. 1 (2012)]; and
- “The Philippine Capital Market: Issues and Challenges” [56 Ateneo L.J. 465 (2011)].
Ms. Gesmundo was consistently listed as a “Rising Star” and a recommended lawyer for the practice area of Labor and Employment by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for 2020 to 2025.
Ms. Gesmundo was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2014 and is a member of the Makati City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
