ACCRALAW lawyers Christopher Louie D. Ocampo and Paula P. Plaza co-authored the ASEAN Fintech Ecosystem Benchmarking Study. This study was jointly produced by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School, the Asian Development Bank Institute and FinTechSpace.

John Paul M. Gaba, a Partner of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department, delivered a lecture on the “Right to Privacy in the Digital Age & the Philippine Data Privacy Act “during the 21st National Convention of the Metropolitan & City Judges Association of the Philippines (“METCJAP”) in Dumaguete City last 12 September 2019.

On 5 September 2019, a team representing the Firm’s Labor and Employment Department consisting of Emerico O. de Guzman, Joy Anne C. Leong-Pambid, and Franchesca Abigail C. Gesmundo shared their insights during the panel discussion entitled “Significant Updates in Labor Law” during the 2019 In-House Congress.

John Paul M. Gaba, is one of the Partners of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department. On 4 September 2019, Mr. Gaba delivered a lecture on “Copyright & the Public Domain” during the World Intellectual Property Organization – IPO Philippines Summer School on IP held at the IPO Philippines’ main office in Taguig City.

The Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) and the Taiwan Patent Attorneys’ Associate organized the “Seminar on IP Landscape in New Southbound Countries”. It was held last 27 to 29 August 2019 at the International Conference Hall, Tsai Lecture Hall, College of Law, National Taiwan University.

Our Firm’s Leland R. Villadolid Jr., Senior Partner of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, participated as panelist on the topic “Technology and Talent Management for the Legal Team” before the officers and members of ASIAN-MENA Counsel – InHouse Community, 2019 In-House Congress held last 5 September 2019 at Raffles and Fairmont Hotel in Makati City.
