Emerico O. De Guzman and Ana Lourdes Teresa Arnaldo-Oracion have retired from the Firm effective 31 December 2021. Although they have retired from the partnership, they will continue to contribute to the Firm in their capacity as Of Counsels.

Senior Partners Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad and Leland R. Villadolid Jr. have been elected by the Firm’s partners as Managing Partner and Co-Managing Partner, respectively.  They are tasked to lead the ACCRALAW on its 50th year of founding.

The Firm recently acted as counsel to the issue manager and lead underwriter in the initial public offering of Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corporation (SPNEC), the developer of what is planned to be the largest solar project in Southeast Asia. SPNEC made its trading debut on the Main Board of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on 17 December 2021.

The Asian Legal Business (ALB) awarded the AT1 Securities Offering of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) as the Debt Market Deal of the Year (Midsize). This recognition was given during the ALB’s 6th Annual Philippine Law Awards.

Jacqueline Ann A. Tan, a Senior Associate from the Firm’s Tax Department recently published an article in Ateneo Law Journal. The said journal invited Ms. Tan to author an article for its special volume on “Taxation Law and Policy”.

George S.D. Aquino, Partner of the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, recently recorded his Pre-bar Lectures on Criminal Procedure for the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law (Ateneo Law) Online Bar Review Program. The lecture was made available to at least two batches of law graduates (Class 2020 and 2021), on demand, via Ateneo Law’s online application starting 8 September 2021 until the bar examinations scheduled in January-February 2022.
