The I.T. & Business Process Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IBPAP) is hosting a webinar entitled “Wading Through DOLE and PEZA Regulations Amidst the Lockdown” for its members on 27 April 2020 at 2:30 – 4:00 pm.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue issued Revenue Regulations (RR) No. 7-2020 pursuant to Section 4(z) of the Republic Act No. 11469, otherwise known as “Bayanihan to Heal As One Act” (RA No. 11469). The RR was promulgated as a temporary emergency measure to provide relief to taxpayers who are unable to submit, file and/or pay the necessary documents and/or taxes required under the Tax Code.

Last 5 December 2019, the Firm hosted a friendly golf tournament for its lawyers, clients and friends. It was held at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.

As in the past, ACCRA Cup was well-attended by the Firm’s lawyers. Among the avid golfers in the Firm are Avelino V. Cruz, Luis A. Vera Cruz, Jr., Francisco Ed. Lim, Arnold M. Corporal and Joselito M. Bautista. Friends from SGV & Co. also attended.

For the second consecutive year, Asian Legal Business (ALB) awarded ACCRALAW as the Philippine Law Firm of the Year. ALB announced the awardees during the 4th Annual ALB Philippine Law Awards held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City.

ACCRALAW, in cooperation with the ACCRALAW Scholarship Foundation, Inc. and the family of the late Violeta Calvo-Drilon, awarded scholarship grants to students of the University of the Philippines College of Law in view of their outstanding performance.

ACCRALAW lawyers joined the Philippine delegation to the 41st ASEAN Law Association (ALA) Governing Council Meeting held in Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand last 21 November 2019.

Meritas, a global alliance of law firms worldwide, held a forum last 14 November 2019 at Shangri-la Hotel at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. It was participated in by its member law firms in Asia, Australia, US and Europe, including ACCRALAW, and the Firm’s clients.

ACCRALAW’s Senior Partner Francisco Ed. Lim has been chosen to lead the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) as its President for 2020. He serves as the 71st President since MAP’s founding in 1950.
